What is PowerApps?
Microsoft PowerApps lets users create custom business applications without extensive coding. This low/no-code platform connects multiple data sources and integrates seamlessly with Power Automate and other Office365 or Dynamics 365 programs. Using the intuitive PowerApps Studio, you can design apps tailored to your business needs that work offline and across mobile and web platforms. With drag-and-drop tools and built-in AI, PowerApps simplifies app creation for processes like HR, data handling, or eCommerce.
Microsoft Power Apps pricing
PowerApps Per User Plan: The current pricing for the PowerApps Per User Plan is $40 (£30.20) per user/month. The new pricing will be $20 (which is currently around £15.10) per user/month. This license provides access to unlimited model-driven, canvas apps or PowerApps Portals, and plan entitlements remain unchanged – That’s a £15.10 saving.
PowerApps Per App Plan: The current pricing for the PowerApps Per App Plan is $10 (£7.50) per user/app/month. The new pricing will be $5 (which is currently around £3.75) per user/app/month – That’s a £3.75 saving.
The current Per App plan provides access to two apps and one portal app. Microsoft will be simplifying the entitlements in line with the pricing change, so users will have the ability to run one app or access one portal (an embedded canvas app in a model-driven app doesn’t count towards this).
When it comes to your business, it’s important to make sure every spend is right for you and your budget. In the case of app building, you might need to license for an unlimited number of users, buy a specific number of app licences, or pay per app or per user. PowerApps is included in Office365 licences.

Per apps licensing
With this plan, currently priced at £7.50 per month, you can build two custom applications and use one PowerApps portal. Your apps can be canvas or model-driven.
This plan comes with a database capacity of 250 MB and 400 MB file capacity on the Common Data Service.
You will be able to:

- Create custom entities to store your data
- Manage workflows with Power Automate (previously Microsoft Flow)
- Use premium connectors and access real-time workflows
Per user licence
Currently priced at £30.20 per month, this plan is the best option for businesses who need one licence for each user, no matter how many apps need to run. This plan comes with the ability to run an unlimited number of custom apps and portals.
This plan comes with a database capacity of 250 MB and 2 GB file capacity on the PowerApps Common Data Service.
You will be able to:

PowerApps portals allow you to make your apps available to more than just internal users. Choose to make your app public either with logins or page views.
Use PowerApps portals to use Common Data service data in your app. You can share your data with anyone – both external and internal users – with portals. You set the authentication requirements and completely tailor the data to your needs.
Power Automate or Flow plans
Now called Power Automate, Microsoft Flow seamlessly connects cloud-based apps. The tool is great for improving efficiency and making tasks that used to be developer-only easy for every user.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Microsoft changing the PowerApps pricing? The existing PowerApps licensing model was complicated according to customer feedback. Currently, users have access to 3 apps rather than 1 as the name ‘per app’ would suggest.
What are the new PowerApps prices for the UK? Microsoft has not yet released these prices; we have estimated the cost to UK customers based on the US pricing models.
Is the new PowerApps pricing cheaper than before? Yes, it appears from the US pricing models there’s roughly a 50% saving vs. the previous prices. However, Microsoft still hasn’t updated the UK pricing models, so we don’t know for sure.
Is Microsoft PowerApps free? You can use the PowerApps Community Plan for free. This plan is a free platform to learn more about PowerApps and Power Automate.
Is PowerApps included in Office365? PowerApps is included in a variety of Office365 licences. Plans that feature PowerApps access include Business Essential, Business Premium, the F1 Plan, and E1-E5 Enterprise Office 365 licences
Is PowerApps only for mobile? No. PowerApps apps will work on mobile and in web browsers.
